Today’s Reflection

The body is always responding to the state in which it lives.

When the mind is rushed, distracted, or caught in an endless loop of doing, fixing, and proving, the body often loses the ease required for digestion, absorption, and repair. The issue is not only what you are eating, but the condition of the system receiving it.

The more peace you create within, the more support you give the body to do what it already knows how to do.

🍋 START YOUR DAY WITH LEMON WATER

Before eating anything, drink a large glass of water with fresh lemon.

  • Optional: add a pinch of sea salt

  • Give your body 20–30 minutes before eating

This helps stimulate digestion and prepare your system for the day.

🍽️ SLOW DOWN WHEN YOU EAT

Today, focus on how you eat—not just what you eat.

  • Chew your food thoroughly

  • Put your fork down between bites

  • Don’t rush

Digestion starts in the mouth.

🥦 MAKE FOOD EASIER TO DIGEST

Help your body out by simplifying digestion.

  • Lightly cook vegetables instead of eating everything raw - this makes most vegetables easier to digest. Also, vegetables contain fiber, which is a food source for your gut microbiome, that processed foods deplete and destroy.

  • Avoid overeating

  • Keep meals simple

It requires energy to digest food and convert it to the elemental form our bodies can use. The easier it is to digest, the more your body can actually use.
